This is a great piece. It holds a full set of dishes in the cabinets and allows me to display a few pieces on top. It's beautiful in our dining room. It took a while to put together but it wasn't difficult.

I have set it up in my kitchen to store my best dishes, it is the perfect size that I needed, and looks great. I get alot of compliments on it.Easy to put together too...

I'm the kind of shopper that searches in 20-30 stores (online and physical) before making a purchase. I always read these reviews but rarely comment myself (mainly because of laziness). But here's my input:
The cost of this unit from Dining Rooms Direct beats any other product of similar design. Once put together, the unit looks pretty nice (especially from a distance).
The problem I had with this unit was putting it together. I have 7 other pieces of furniture in my apartment that I've built. Most have been more complicated (30-40 pages of directions, glue, etc), but this was by far the most difficult to put together. The actual directions were very straight forward. My issue was a lot of the pre-drilled holes were drilled on an angle and some of the screws didn't fit. As a result, it took us about 4 hours to put together and some of the drawers are a little crooked.
The other disapointing thing about this unit is the wood is not very sturdy. After we finished putting the buffet together we noticed 2 different cracks (so we bought wood glue).
Overall, I give this unit a 3 for price and for looks (as I said, from a little distance it looks very nice). The top part of the unit comes separate and is very nice to look at. The buffet loses points because it is only slightly better quality than IKEA furniture. When I move, I doubt the buffet is going to make it.

We use the buffet to store books and toys.
It was in a million pieces and difficult to assemble.
Now that it is together it is perfect.

The other reviews I read before purchasing this product exclamed about how difficult it was to put together.....if you are a first-time assembler, yes, it would be difficult. However, if you are a veteran Ikea furniture shopper, like me, it is no different than that. I am very pleased with this item.

While the piece was very hard to assemble, when it was done, I really liked the look of it.I did have a problem with a piece of the pressboard splitting[...].

I was surprised at how much time it took to put this piece together. Nothing was pre-assembled. I was also not expecting it to be so much particle board and laminate and so little hardwood. The piece is definetley not high quality furniture, but it looks good. We have gotten many compliments on how nice it looks and how it adds flare to our existing kitchen furniture. It also looks as though it is high quality. I am sure that no one would guess how little this piece cost or how much of it is cheaper material. Overall, I'd say that it is well worth the money!
We love the buffet - just what we wanted. It arrived in less time than we had expected and in good condition. It was a little bit of a challenge putting together. Once it was assembled, it was great! It looks perfect in our kitchen. We are very happy with it. It was a great price - it beat all the other prices!
I like the product overall. It looks great in the entry hall. Assembly was not a problem, but be prepared to do some adjusting on the drawer slides.
This is a pretty piece of furniture. Assembly instructions were easy to follow and it is a good quality for the price. The color is nice, hardware looks good and it has plenty of storage room. It arrived on time with no damage. A pleasant purchase experience all the way around.
This piece does look very nice once it is put together; however, it is very difficult to set-up. Some Ready to Assemble furniture comes with small pieces already put together for you...this one does not. Every last little piece of wood must be put together and I am concerned with the sturdiness of the entire unit.
